Alton Explorers

Everyone is welcome to join the Alton Explorers for a free family-friendly expedition!

On Saturdays, from 27th September until 1st November, the Alton Explorers will meet outside 6 Portswood Place at 9:55am and will set off together at 10am.

There's no need to book in advance to join our gentle, inclusive walks, where we will spend time in nature together. Our expeditions will start at 10am and finish at 11.30am.

Please wear clothing that's suitable for the weather and bring a bottle of water with you.

When: Saturday mornings, from 27th September until 1st November

Where: We will meet outside Alton Arts Hub, 6 Portswood Place SW15 4ED

What time: Meet at 9.55am for 10am departure. Expeditions finish at 11.30am

There are some new messy play sessions organised for October 2025.

Our popular sessions all take place at St Joseph's Church, Roehampton and are suitable for children aged from 0 to 5 years (SEND kids up to 8 years).

All places must be booked in advance for:

Art Workshops for Wellbeing

Art & Soul will be leading a series of art-for-wellbeing sessions at Alton Arts Hub on Portswood Place this winter.

Sessions will take place on Tuesdays from 11am until 1pm to coincide with Chantelle's Community Kitchen, which is also in Portswood Place, Roehampton.

Tea and coffee will be available from 11am, with activities starting at 11.30am. Join us on the following dates:

White Ribbon Torch Parade

Join SW15 Women's Network and Wandsworth Council at the 2025 White Ribbon Torch Parade, on Tuesday 25th November.

Starting at 6pm from the top of Danebury Avenue, the parade is taking place to support the global movement to end male Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).

Fleur Anderson MP & the Mayor of Wandsworth will be joining the parade and there will be refreshments afterwards in Roehampton Library.

WEEKLY WOMEN'S COFFEE MORNING

SW15 Women's Network invites you to a free weekly women's coffee morning.

Our coffee mornings provide you with an opportunity to take a break, meet new friends and find out what's going on in your local community. Up-to-date information on activities and services for women and families is provided. 

Enjoy free refreshments and arts and crafts. Children are welcome.

Join us every Wednesday from 10.30am - 12.30pm in the Alton Arts Hub, 6 Portswood Place SW15 4ED.

Chantelle's Community Kitchen

As featured on BBC London News, Chantelle's Community Kitchen offers pre-packed nutritious homemade meals every Tuesday between 11am and 1pm.

Come along to Portswood Space (4 Portswood Place SW15 4ED) for a free homemade meal to eat in or takeaway. Donations will be much appreciated if you feel able.

Chantelle’s Community Kitchen always welcomes new volunteers, with or without cooking experience. There are a variety of roles to fill in the friendly kitchen on Mondays and Tuesdays.
