We want people to be inspired by the Alton and for the Alton to be inspired by people. Community will feature strongly in the transformation of the Alton.

The Health Bus will be visiting Roehampton Library on 13 March
If you would like to come along and have a chat about your health, the Health Bus will be visiting Roehampton Library on Friday 13th March, from 9.30am until 3pm.
Come inside the Library to speak to a local pharmacist about your health and wellbeing. Our Stop Smoking Advisors will also be on hand to provide advice to anyone who may be looking to quit smoking.

Art Workshops for Wellbeing
Art & Soul will be leading a new series of art-for-wellbeing sessions at Alton Arts Hub on Portswood Place in March 2026.
Sessions will take place on Tuesdays from 11am until 1pm to coincide with Chantelle's Community Kitchen, which is also in Portswood Place, Roehampton.
Join the sessions on the following dates:
- Tuesday 3rd March
- Tuesday 10th March
- Tuesday 17th March
- Tuesday 24th March
- Tuesday 31st March
Booking for these sessions is recommended, but drop-ins are also welcome. To reserve your place, please email Art & Soul.

Free Messy Play & Crafting
There are some new messy play and crafting sessions organised for Friday afternoons from 16th January to 20th March 2026.
Our popular sessions all take place at St Joseph's Church, Roehampton and are suitable for children aged from 0 to 5 years (SEND kids up to 8 years).
All places must be booked in advance for sessions that take place every Friday afternoon from 3.30pm until 5pm. The sessions start from Friday 16th January.

Join us at the official launch of Focus Hall and try something new
On Thursday 26 March, Focus Hall's official launch will take place and there will be a range of creative activities available for people of all ages to try. These include bunting making, journaling and more.
The Hall is open from 10am until 4.30pm and there will be opportunities to meet people from local groups and organisations. Refreshments will be provided and there's a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2pm.

CSCS & Construction H&S Level 1 Course
Work Match is offering a Construction Skills Certification Scheme and Construction Health & Safety Level 1 Course, which commences on Thursday 26 March 2026.
This two-day course will be delivered in a classroom setting on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 March from 10am until 4pm each day. There will also be an additional day for the CSCS test.
The course will take place at the Roehampton Family Hub, 166 Roehampton Lane SW15 4HR.
Wandsworth residents can apply for this course through Wandsworth Work Match.

EGG-TASTIC EASTER EVENT
You are invited to attend an EGG-TASTIC EASTER EVENT in Roehampton Library on Saturday 28 March 2026.
Hosted by the Alton Renewal Team and Roehampton Library, there will be a book-themed scavenger hunt and Easter crafting activities. Come along:
- between 11am and 12 noon for the under 5s
- between 12.30pm and 1.30pm for the over 5s
- at 11am if you have children in both age groups
Between 11am and 2pm, you will also be able to meet HTA - the design team - and find out more about what's planned for your estate.

Easter Jukebox
Free Easter Party for those aged 55+ with a live Rock & Roll singer, DJ and buffet food provided (please bring your own drinks).
Easter Jukebox will take place on Thursday 2nd April, from 3pm until 6pm in Minstead Sheltered Clubroom, Minstead Gardens SW15 4DU.

Kids' Metal Detector Club
Come and join our Kids' Metal Detector Club, where you can search for tokens and swap them for collectors' coins.
The session takes place on Wednesday 8th April from 2-3.30pm.
Meet outside Roehampton Library. Refreshments will be provided.
